ABOUT SARAH HUNTE
Born to Trinidadian and Guyanese parents in London, England, Sarah credits her international upbringing for her ability to convey everything from conversational wit, sarcasm, and humor to polished professionalism in English, American, or Transatlantic accents.
The encouragement and tenacity that come through Sarah’s dynamic reads are rooted in two defining childhood difficulties: the loss of her right eye as an infant and (ironically) her terrible trouble learning to read in school.
Withdrawn and painfully shy in her early childhood, Sarah was plagued by a nagging sense of insecurity and inferiority, aggravated by daily ocular irritation and vulnerability to soreness and infection that continues even now.
The academic challenges she endured at school only complicated matters. But thanks to her parents, she acquired a relentless refusal to quit, pressing through fear and failure in the post-graduate and professional programs from which she has graduated. It is from this place that she challenges those tempted to think of themselves as disqualified to doubt their doubts, believe in the creative masterpiece that they are, and launch into their calling and purpose. Sarah believes the difficulties she has faced are working together for her good and she embraces the mindset that “in every adversity there lies a seed of an equivalent advantage.” -Robert Collier.
A classically trained pianist and violinist, Sarah believes the human voice is the most dynamic of musical instruments and the most powerful of natural creative forces. Her passions and favorite things include liturgical dance, learning about financial independence and real estate, photography, fine Indian food, French-made lemon meringue tarts, art festivals, thrift shopping, roti and curry, post workout naps, and trips to the beach.
